Knoxville’s Henley Street Bridge will once again light up with the colors of the Tennessee Volunteers after crews worked to restore the street-level lights display years after it stopped operating.

For the first time since 2018, the lights on the deck will glow orange and white starting at 8:30 p.m. Aug. 29 in honor of the football home opener Aug. 31.

And it’s not just a one-time thing. The bridge lights will change colors in honor of events such as the Knox Asian Festival or Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
